Face
swapping.

Use a reference model image to change the person in your own short clip while preserving the original performance, timing and camera movement.

Consent matters. Only use your own face or reference images you have clear permission to use. Do not create impersonation, deceptive content, or edits that could harm someone.

THE PROCESS / 01

Start with the motion.
Then change the model.

01

Record your source clip.

Make the video you want first, then trim the exact part you want to transform. Keep it short, with a visible face and uncomplicated motion.

Your source clip controls the performance, movement and camera timing.
02

Choose the model picture.

Find or create one clear reference image of the person or character you want to use. A clean, well-lit image makes the direction easier to understand.

Use an image you are entitled to use.
03

Open Higgsfield Genjutsu.

Upload the trimmed video and place the model picture in the reference area. Keep your instruction focused on the one person you want to change.

Name the person by position if there is more than one person in the video.
04

Pick the right mode.

Use Object Swap for a focused change—replace the named face or person while preserving the rest of the shot. Use Motion Transfer when you want the source performance and camera movement, but you are intentionally rebuilding more of the cast, scene or look from references.

Start with Object Swap when the original clip already works.
05

Write the keep-list.

State what must not move: pose, action, hands, camera, lighting, background, timing and other people. This gives the edit a clear boundary.

The more specific your keep-list, the less the tool has to guess.
06

Generate, then review.

Watch closely for identity consistency, eye line, hands, edges and movement. Change only one detail in your next prompt if you need another pass.

Do not publish an edit that could confuse viewers about a real person.

COPY-READY PROMPT / 02

One new model.
Same moment.

Paste this into Genjutsu with your clip and permitted reference image.

Replace only [THE PERSON / FACE] in the original video with the person in the reference image. Preserve the original performance, facial expression, pose, body movement, hand position, timing, camera movement, lighting, background, composition and every other person in the scene. Keep the result natural and realistic. Do not add text, logos, extra people or unrelated changes.
